Give thanks

During this Thanksgiving season I can't help but think about all the things I am grateful for. If your like me you think about them constantly. It's amazing how blessed we are to enjoy certain freedoms, food and shelter over our heads and many more things. Often at this time of year I think about those who don't even have the basic necessities and it breaks my heart. So please, don't take anything for granted, it could be gone tomorrow. And during this time of Thanksgiving be grateful for and enjoy all your blessings!

Cinnamon roasted almonds

Ingredients:

1 teaspoon cold water
1 egg white
4 cups whole almonds
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 cup white sugar

preheat oven to 250 and grease a cookie sheet. Preferably one with edges.
Mix the egg and water until egg becomes frothy. Add the nuts and mix it around until the nuts are coated with the egg. Mix together the sugar salt and cinnamon and then sprinkle it over the nuts. Toss until nuts are evenly coated. Spread into the greased pan and bake for 1 hour. I stirred mine every 20 minutes or so.

Tip: I think the nuts are a lot better once they're cooled. They're good warm but I liked them after they've cooled so the nuts aren't so soft.

Store in a air tight container.

I have been wanting to re-do our kitchen ever since we have moved in. My hubby on the other hand likes our kitchen just fine. I have to find a way to re-do our kitchen very inexpensively! Before I do that.....check out all these kitchens that I just love! I still can't decide the feeling I want in my kitchen. All of these kitchens are beautiful.....

Chandelier

I am in love.....with these chandeliers at LOWES. My living room will eventually be black, red & gray. Which do you think would look best? (I'm really partial to the first sparkly one. I'm tempted to convince my hubby that we NEED it.) :)
